The Playful Modern Design Of The NHOW Marseille Hotel – Italian furniture and local grit are the base for the playful design (almost futuristic) of this boutique hotel in France. The interior decoration it’s a combination of post-modern glamour meets “violent” energy in the antiquity of the Provence. Take a look!
Among the ancient neoclassical style, signature design of the coast of Provincial France, is a unique hotel far from what you’ll expect of that region. The NHOW hotel will amaze you with its modern design and some decor elements that are outside the box (like neon lights, graffiti walls, and real sized cactus plants).
The new NHOW Marseilles is nothing like you have never seen before. The beach hotel was created by the local architects, Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefèvre, and the Italian designer, Teresa Sapey. Since the city of Marseilles is historical for being a rebel city, since the 14th century, they designers team took that as the inspiration for this playful project and its luxury interiors. If you think about it, every rebel city needs a retreat with a bit of bite! The designers’ team decorated the corridors and bedrooms with graffiti made by Cours Julien, a town artist. The lobby mural, created by street artist, Tristan Bonnemain, is a memorial to the city’s present and past characters.

“ Violence is part of the city. In Italy, we say, ‘Don’t cover your eyes with your hands because, then, one day you will have to see reality’. This design project is going to be for the city, in the city and belong to the city”, said Sapey. The violence is cut with playfulness. One thing is for sure, this modern hotel will give you a unique experience far away from what you were expecting… I bet the Instagram and design lovers will be crazy about this modern and playful space!
