Get ready! Your new Nordstrom Rack retail shop are in their way with Baton Rouge and Lafayette. In today’s post, Interior Design Shop is going to tell you everything about the new Nordstrom Rack fashion stores opening for Fall 2015!
According to the retailer’s website, the new Baton Rouge location at the Mall of Louisiana will open Oct. 1.
Lafayette’s new location at Ambassador Town Center will open spring 2016.
In Baton Rouge, the 30,000-square-foot store will go into the power center across from the mall in a space formerly occupied by American Factory Direct Furniture Outlets.
It will be the first Nordstrom fashion store in Louisiana.
Nordstrom Rack sells apparel, accessories and shoes for men, women and children at a 30 percent to 70 percent discount from regular prices. The retail store carries luxury brands and Nordstrom’s own brands. Nordstrom Rack stores are a fraction the size of a Nordstrom.
“They’re a very, very strong retail store that fits across a lot of demographic lines,” said Tony Stephens, general manager of the Mall of Louisiana, in October 2014. “They’ll do a lot of business in this market.”
The roots of the store go back to 1973, when a clearance center opened in the lower level of the Nordstrom store in downtown Seattle. The first stand-alone Nordstrom Rack store opened in 1983.
