The new hot place for shopping seems to be Miami’s Design District, an area known for its innovative fashion, architecture, interiors and dining, so forget fifth avenue and the Champs-Élysées and come visit the the new must-have address for luxury shopping.
One of the last stores to join this district is, Miu Miu, who has stores like, Loewe, Maison Margiela, and Valentino as neighbors. The space, designed by the architect Roberto Baciocchi, combine the area’s sleek modernity with Miu Miu’s signature charm, extends over two floors and a total surface area of 505 square meters, with light boxes and black marble details decorate the shimmering façade and a small staircase leads shoppers to a welcoming ground floor dedicated to accessory, bag, footwear and ready-to-wear collections.
To give you an tour, the entrance is divided into three large rooms, in black marble leads visitors onto the ground floor which offers bags, accessories and footwear. Walls are covered with iconic gold damask fabric and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Modern display niches backed with damask and edged with polished steel showcase the product at its very best.
The first floor, which is principally home to women’s ready-to-wear, is reached via an elegant staircase, again clad in black marble. Miu Miu damask, mirror and fabric display niches ensure harmony across every floor.
Rooms are finished with centrally placed glass counters and lounge areas furnished with velvet mohair seating in a soft colour palette all of which contributes to an atmosphere that is both rich and very feminine.
But if you are not convinced to visit the store from this quick tour, go visit MIU MIU site, and let the design speak for it self.
And since we are speaking of Miami and design, maybe you would like to visit Maison Americas, wich has the perfect combination of those two, since in about design and is now on Miami Beach from May 12 to 15. See everything about the trade show here, at MY DESIGN AGENDA.
