2014 is going to be another big year in terms of design. My Design Week is eagerly waiting for some of the best design Muitas coisas events in the world – the kind that set up new trends. Thus, we give you the Design Weeks and Trends Shows you cannot – for anything – miss in 2014.
It is the first Design Show in the year, happening from 13th to 19th January in Cologne, Germany. Their slogan is ”The pulse of the furnishing world! Good products, good ideas, good business.” In fact, this fair presents the trends that will shape the furniture and interior design sector.
Happening from 17th to 21st May in the UAE. This is the leading fair for the Middle East and South Asia for collectible and limited edition furniture and design objects. Here you will find design from leading international designers and galleries from across the world.
Duas coisas em Bold
Takes place from 30th March to 4th April in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is the world’s leading trade fair for Architecture and Technology. Each year it has around 2,300 exhibitors and almost one in two of the over 196,000 visitors comes from outside Germany.
iSaloni – Milan Furniture Fair
From 8th to 13th April in Milan. It is the “world’s largest and most representative exhibitions of furniture and fittings in the industry led by signature makers and premium brands.“
International Contemporary Furniture Fair
From 17th to 20th May in New York – it the showcase for for contemporary design in North America. “lures those in determined pursuit of design’s timely truths and latest trends to an encyclopedic exhibition of up-to-the-moment offerings, as well as a series of fascinating, fun, edifying programs, and a packed schedule of exhibits and features.”
Paris Design Week
Every year in the beginning of September in Paris, It is an event for both the trade and general public. It is during this week, that Maison & Object happens – a reference event destination for the interior design industry. M&O also happens in Paris in January (24th to 28th Jan 2014) and in Singapore in March (10th to 13th Mar 2014).
London Design Festival
Has been just announce that it will happen from 13 to 21 September 2014. It is one of the most important annual design events. Associated with the Festival are the trade shows 100% Design and Decorex.
Dutch Design Week
Each year in October in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. There “you can see with your own eyes how the world of tomorrow is already in the making today. Smart solutions and inventive design offer new promising perspectives.” Check out the 2013 DDW highlights here.
