Vienna has been discovered by the great luxury brands. Between Kohlmarkt and Kärntner Strasse you can find exclusive boutiques with elegance and stylish glamour.
The Kohlmarkt used to be home to a large number of Imperial and Royal court purveyors. And today, it’s home for the big luxury brands stores, such as the elegant Swiss watch and jewelry company Chopard, that has set up shop right at the start of the pedestrian area.
Several luxury brands are at home in a noble palace about half-way down the Kohlmarkt, such as Milan fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, American designer Michael Kors, with his handbags and his fashion, and Tiffany & Co. This legendary American jeweler was an imperial and royal court purveyor long before the Vienna store opened. Dior has moved in next door and presents French chic.
Just a few more steps towards the city center, Ferragamo offers elegant Italian shoes and accessories. Things continue in classic British style with Burberry and with elegant Italian fashion design by Gucci, Fendi and Giorgio Armani. At the end of Kohlmarkt, Chanel awaits with French exclusivity.
The Cartier boutique with its exquisite watches and luxurious jewelry is the link between the Kohlmarkt and Graben. In this also very exclusive, car-free shopping street, Hermès has set up its Viennese flagship store. Jenny on Kärntner Strasse is the top address in Vienna for fashion by Jil Sander.
Luxurious flagship stores are also to be found on Tuchlauben, the extension of Kohlmarkt: Here, in the so-called “Golden Quarter”, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Etro, Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen and Emporio Armani reside next door to one another. Right opposite is the refined shoe designer Jimmy Choo and Akris presents fashion from Switzerland, feminine and discreet.
A bit further along on Tuchlauben is the shop of Vivienne Westwood, including the couture tailored fashion otherwise found only at the main shop in London. The cult label Agent Provocateur from London presents its daring, extravagant designer lingerie next door. Dsquared2 is a must-see destination for fashion-conscious men.

Around the corner on Seitzergasse, Mulberry and Brioni have set up shop, and on neighboring Bognergasse, Prada, Saint Laurent and Brunello Cucinelli have their flagship stores.
But very exclusive labels can also be found in some of the nearby side alleys: Versace is located in the Trattnerhof, Missoni can be found on Rauhensteingasse. There is glitz and glamour to be had in the store of German luxury designer Philipp Plein on Bauernmarkt. He is famous for his leather jackets, skull and tattoo motifs and crystal-decorated shirts, jeans and jackets.
