In 2014 in cooperation with mode:lina architekci the owners created a new place with unique character on Aleja Solidarności in Toruń – Doppio Cafe Bistro.
The meeting with the centenarian story of this family’s craftsmanship was a huge inspiration for the new interior design. Mode:lina Architekci realised an interior renovation that fuses together traditional and modern design using recycled aesthetics paired with new minimalist furnishings.
The bakery’s white enamel tiles and checkered floors have been left untouched, while old patinated baking sheets received a second life as a wall decor and lamp shades. Traditional atmosphere is omnipresent thanks to oven-shaped furniture and natural wood mixed with little enamel white tilling.
The counter and lighting are finished by meticulously selected wooden planks that may refer to traditional oven fuel.
