This French and modern pastry shop in Kiev, Ukraine, is just lovely. The interior was created in four months – from the first sketch to the store opening. Designed by Ukrainian architectural firm 2B.GROUP, THE CAKE features a light neutral background and indie elements in contrast with bold colors and none other than a giant pink Koons dog. Check out!

Inside we find a lot of different elements. The diversity of images and forms presented in the 80 square meters main hall has only been achieved due to the fact that most of the design elements have been handcrafted. This diversity in the interior design was called by the designer as an “indie” design.
On the contrast to the piles of cakes of ideal geometrical form installed behind the transparent walls of the kitchen, every floor concrete tile has its wrinkle as each of 10.000 of them has been handcrafted.
